Papez Circuit 人類的短期記憶(short term memory)

海馬迴-->穹窿(Fornix)-->乳頭體(下視丘)，通過乳頭視丘徑(Mamillothalamictract)傳往視丘-->視丘(thalamus)前核(Thalamus, Anterior Nu.)經由視丘放射纖維(Thalamic Projection Fiber)到皮質-->扣帶迴(Cingulate Gyrus)的 Cingulum(扣帶迴內的 Associated Fiber)-->海馬旁迴(Parahippocampal Gyrus)經過 Alvear、Perforant Pathway 傳迴海馬迴

巴貝茲迴路(Papez Circuit)為短期記憶(Short Memory)的功能，若是要使短期記憶變成長期記憶，會牽涉到大腦的儲備區，整合皮質(association cortex)為一大塊區域但我們只提到一些區域，剩下沒特別說明的區域即為大腦的倉庫，也就是說短期記憶會儲存在這轉變成長期的記憶，這些倉庫大部分位在額葉(Frontal Lobe)和顳葉(Temporal Lobe)
