一、一般轉錄因子
轉錄因子
功能
RNA polymerase II
催化RNA合成。核醣核酸聚合酶II((RNA聚合酶II/RNA Polymerase II)也是一種轉錄因子，它不一定是在最後才結合到複合體上。完成的複合體稱轉錄複合體(Transcription complex)，到達此階段才能開始轉錄。
TBP
(TATA結合蛋白)
特定的辨識出TATA box
TFIIA
穩定TFIIB和TBP與啟動子的結合
TFIIB
與TBP接合，吸引(recruits)RNA聚合酶-TFIIF聚合體
TFIID
與正負向調控蛋白交互作用，TFIID率先接上TATA序列(TATA box)，隨後其他轉錄因子才接上。TFIID為第一轉錄因子
TFIIE
吸引(recruits)TFIIH，為ATPase且具解旋酶(helicase)活性
TFIIF
緊密的與RNA聚合酶II結合。與TFIIB結合並避免RNA聚合酶與非特定DNA序列結合。
TFIIH
於啟動子鬆開DNA。磷酸化RNA聚合酶。吸引核苷酸切除修復聚合體(nucleotide-excision repair complex)。

二、調節型轉錄因子(Regulatory transcription factor)
1.有增強子(Enhancer)、silencer，可以改變promoter活性   activator或repressor

註：可被蛋白質結合上去做轉錄調控的DNA部位稱作Cis element，例如operator、promotor、enhancer、silencer；而那些可以結合DNA去做轉錄調控的蛋白質稱為Trans factor，像是repressor、activator

    我不太認同"TFIID(不重要)"這個部分，TFIID含有TBP可以辨識DNA上TATA BOX的位置，使RNAP II上到正確的位置進行轉錄，我認為這個滿重要的阿~
