German verbs can be categorized as weak and strong two types. Weak verbs is relatively easy to change to present Perfect.
Weak verb:
1.add haben/sein as auxiliary verb, and "ge" in front of verb. In addition, replace the end of verb "en" with "t" or "et"(as end of verb stem is d or t).
ex. hören(hear) → hat gehört
ex. antworten(work) →hat geanwortet
2.But as separable verbs (trennbare Verben), you must put "Peparable Verb Prefixes" in front of "ge".
ex. zurückmailen(writeback) → hat zurückgemailt
3. -ieren: this kind of verbs need no "ge" in front of it.
ex. funktionieren(operate)→ hat funktioniert
Strong verb: this kind of verbs have diverse ways to change as Present Perfect. Including change vowel, keep original form, change both vowel and consonant, etc.
