基因轉換(Genetic Switches)

控制著基因工具組(genetic toolkit)的利用，在模組發展中扮演重要角色，可以操控Hox genes在不同體節的活化與否。

藉由各種不同的轉錄因子(transcription factor)活化或者抑制啟動子(promoter)控制基因表現----基因表現得以不同。
